Our second guided program trip took us to Switzerland. I chose to join the hiking group, but once we got to Engelberg we discovered that the weather was too bad for it. So, we went to Lucerne and were turned loose on the streets.

Switzerland is madly expensive - admission to the transportation museum was 26 francs - which led us to seek out a cheaper use of time. We walked along the lake and played in a playground, each later blowing our 20 swiss francs on Indian food and Swiss chocolate. Sadly, we could not afford the 90-franc megaloToblerone - Lucerne is a place for people with money.
