The Red Buttes wilderness is a nice area straddling Oregon's border with California, near the Pacific Crest Trail. Cheri and I spent the long weekend doing a 27-mile loop through the California portion.

After our final night in beautiful Cedar Basin, we hiked out along the Butte Fork of the Applegate river to close the loop.
